Artist's Comments

"The wide stare stared itself out for one while; the Sun went down in a red, green, golden glory; the stars came out in the heavens, and the fire-flies mimicked them in the lower air, as men may feebly imitate the goodness of a better order of beings; the long dusty roads and the interminable plains were in repose--and so deep a hush was on the sea, that it scarcely whispered of the time when it shall give up its dead."

-- Charles Dickens, 'Little Dorrit'

First, nice on the cropping, you made it feel alot more focused than it was before, the saturation might be just a little high but I think it works just fine, the 3 repetition of the pillars works great, it really adds to the photo. The seagull is perched there very nicely, the blacks in the water under the pillars brings out the color in it very well as well as the detail too. the onlything that i would change is that your horizion line is right in the middle of the picture, if you could put your line a little higher that would add to it nicely, but great shot, keep it up!

Ah i love the colours on this one, also all the different water level markers that are in the ocean. Personally i love taking sunset photos on water I prefer to do them myself when the sun is just going down and illuminates the water orange but this has its own interesting blend of warm and cool colours good job man :)

I love the symmetry between the little poles & the one tall one. Gives the gull a very regal look being up there.

You're love of all things seagull has made a wonderful picture here =D Good show!

oh wow! this is amazing... the colours gradient, the symettry and difference in the pattern of the groyne and most of all - the seagull and the red signs - just make it. Such a strong composition. Through the colour and motion of the waves in for fun and instant :+fav: :)
